OBITUARY:
Funeral services for Chester "C. M." Taylor will be held Wednesday, August 7th at 10:00AM at Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Bob Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening, August 6th beginning at 5pm until 7pm.

Chester "C. M." Taylor, Jr. passed away on 2nd day of August, 2013 at Winfield Nursing Center, Crockett, after complications from two strokes. C. M. was born, raised and started school in Belott, later graduating from Glover School. He met his future wife at Belott School at the age of 5 when he "bought" her from another boy for a nickel.

After high school, he attended business school until he joined the Navy Air Corp in 1941 at the age of 17. He spent most of WWII fighting the Japanese in the South Pacific as a rear machine gunner. He married his "nickel girlfriend", Bobbie Loftin in August, 1945. They spent the next 62 years farming, commercial fishing, ranching and raising their family. C. M. was a member of the American Legion and the Crockett Elks Club.

C. M. was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie and half-sister, Eunice Cooper.
