Harold "Doc" Massengill, 78 of Middlesboro, passed away Thursday Aug. 1, 2013 at his home. He was born in Middlesboro on Nov. 21, 1934. A son of the late William Jesse and Carrie Calloway Massengill. Harold was a graduate of Middlesboro High School and he was a member of the East Cumberland Ave. Baptist Church. Harold entered the United States Air Force in 1954 and retired after 27 years in 1981. He was a Flight Medic serving in the Vietnam war, flying missions into combat areas.

In addition to his Parents he was preceded in death by 4 sisters: Edna Branham, Mildred Miller, Ruby Van Beber, and Wilma Mays, 4 Brothers: Tommy Massengill, John Roger Massengill, Jim Massengill and C.A. "Buddy" Massengill.

Interment at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens with full military honors given by the United States Air Force Honor Guard and the American Legion Dewey Guy Post # 14 of Middlesboro.
