Sherman L. Becker Sr. 63, husband of Mrs. Beulah Jacobs Becker, York RD6, was dead on arrival Sunday at 7 a.m.. at York Hospital. Dr. E. Derek Peske, a deputy York Co. coroner, attributed death to a heart attack.
Mr. Becker had retired a year ago from Thonet Industries Inc.
A native of West Manchester Twp. , he was the son of Franklin and Ida Beck Becker.
His memberships included Lodge 148, Loyal Order of Moose, and the Prince Athletic Club.
Surviving also are a daughter, Nadine Corsa, Thomasville, RD1; and a son, Sherman
L. Becker Jr., Dover RD2; four grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs.Bessie Roelke, 212 Earl Way; Mrs. Irene Rohrbaugh, 216 N. Gotwalt St.'; Mrs. Florence Brickner 1705 W. Poplar St.; Mrs. Dorothy Toomey, York RD3; Mrs. Kathryn Hollar, Dover; Mrs. Betty Gallo, Pottsville RD3; Mrs. Thelma Dllinger, 200 Sycamore Lane; three brothers, William Becker, 1209 W.College Ave; Daniel Becker, 131 Lincoln-Way Drive; and Kenneth Becker, 12 N. Belvidere Ave.
The funeral will be from the Heffner Funeral Home, 1901 W. Market St., with the Rev. Jesse O. Jenkins, officiating.
Burial will be in Bermudian Brethern Cemetery, East Berlin, RD1.
