Jerry Gwyn Adams Born: July 29, 1949 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Clarence and Arlie Belle Gentry Adams. Died: Wednesday morning, July 27, 2005 at his home north of Washington. Jerry Adams has lived in this area for most of his life. Jerry was united in marriage Feb. 14, 1971 to Patrica (Yancy) Adams and to this union, three children were born, Kenny Adams, Steven Adams, Letha Adams. On April 25, 1988, he married to Joan Swinford, and to this union, one child was born, Jeremy Adams. He attended Story school and Maysville High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army. He was a former Bond Bread route salesman and for the most part of his adult life has been in the trucking business. They have lived north of Washington for the past 6 years. Jerry enjoyed his family, going to auctions, watching the grand kids play ball and raising cattle. He will be missed by his family and many friends and coffee shop buddies. Survivors: His first wife Patrica (Yancy) Adams, second wife Joan of the home; 3 sons: Kenny Adams and his wife Twila of Oklahoma City, Steven Adams of Oklahoma City, Jeremy Adams of Washington; 1 daughter: Letha Stowers and her husband B.J. of Moore, Oklahoma; 2 brothers: Gentry Adams of Oklahoma City and T.C. Adams of Maysville; 4 sisters: Anna Faye Idleman and Alta Mae Bowerman, both of Maysville, Drewanna Dedmon of Blanchard and Jerry's twin sister Mary Clagg of Blanchard; 6 grandchildren: Kodi Ruth Adams, Klayton James Adams, Kolton Lee Adams, Marc Christopher Stowers, Marissa Kayann Stowers and Megan Ranee Stowers. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Arlie Bell, and 2 brothers, T.A. and J. D. and by a sister Wanda B. Adams. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday July 29, 2005 at the Maysville Assembly of God with Rev. Billy Davenport officiating with burial in the Washington Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home Maysville.
