Mrs. Mary M. Dawson
SARCOXIE, Mo. - Mrs. Mary
Margaret Dawson, 79 years old,
died at 2:45 o'clock Saturday in
Freeman hospital in Joplin, where
she had been a patient since
Thursday night. She had been in
ill health about four months.
Born December 3, 1880, in Jasper
county, Mrs. Dawson lived in
this area all her life. She was a
member of the Christian church in
Sarcoxie. She had been a patient
in a Diamond nursing home four
months prior to entering the hospital.
Surviving are three daughters,
Mrs. Golden Overall and Mrs. Loren
Brooks of Sarcoxie and Mrs.
Nellie Cash of Joplin; three sons,
Wayne Dawson, Chester Dawson
and Roy Dawson, all of Sarcoxie;
two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Brown of
Hawthorne, Calif., and Mrs. Ida
Houston of Jensen Beach, Fla.;
11 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2
o'clock Monday afternoon in Jackson
and Son funeral home chapel.
The Rev. Charles Hatfield will officiate.
Burial will be in Cave
Springs cemetery at Sarcoxie.
Pallbearers will be grandsons,
Mike Dawson, Kenneth Brooks,
Richard Dawson, Nelson Cash,
Braxson Cash, Bill Kleeman and
Basil Coates.
