Margaret I. Ericksen, age 92 of Kresgeville passed away Friday, July 26th at her home. She was the loving wife of Roy Ericksen . They celebrated their 66th Wedding Anniversary on July 26th. She and her husband lived in Kresgeville since her husband Roy retired from Proctor & Gamble in 1983. She was born in Staten Island, NY on February 19, 1921 the daughter of the late Richard and Agnes (Metzner) Wiesner. Margaret was a member of the Faith Alive Community Church in Wind Gap. She attended P.S. # 20 School, graduated from Port Richmond High School and attended Wagner College all in Staten Island. While in high school she worked weekends in the Frankel's Dress Shop. She had also worked testing antibiotics at the Wallerstein's Pharmaceutical Laboratories. Margaret had many interests in hobbies and loved to sew, knit, ceramics, flying, fencing, writing poetry, painting, gardening and quit making. She had also taught Sunday School to pre-teens and taught the Ladies Bible Class for 28 years. We have been blessed with the presence of Margaret in our lives. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Roy; her children: Linda Friedrich and her husband Gary of Kunkletown; Robert Ericksen and his wife Debra of Martinsville, NJ; Lesley Bommer of White Haven and Glenn Ericksen of Staten Island, NY. She was a loving and gentle grandmother to her 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Laurene Hood; a son in law: Frederick Bommer; a sister: Muriel Samuelsen and a brother: Richard Wiesner. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, July 31st at the Donald N. Gower Funeral Home, Route 209, Gilbert with Pastors Matt Whistler and Larry Gasteiger officiating. Family and friends are welcome to offer their condolences on Tuesday, July 30th from 6-8 pm and Wednesday, July 31st from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. She will be interred at the Dotter's Corner Cemetery in Kunkletown. Margaret's life motto was, "For me to live is Christ, to die is gain" Phil 1:21. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in loving memory of Margaret I. Ericksen to Faith Alive Community Church Building Fund, 125 W. West Street, Wind Gap, Pa. 18091. The Donald N.
