BLUE SPRINGS – Emily Nell Roberts Cobb, 86, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County in New Albany. She was born Oct. 14, 1926, in Union County to Willie H. Roberts and Jenny E. Adams Roberts. She was a retired sales clerk for Graber's Department Store. She was a member of the Fairfield Presbyterian Church.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, at Fairfield Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dan Rupert officiating. Burial will be in the Fairfield Cemetery. United Funeral Service in New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Dye (Carey) and Kathy Tucker (Bruce), both of Blue Springs; a son, Dennis Cobb (Marion) of Gun Barrel City, Texas; five grandchildren, Ashley Campbell of Alpine, Angie Nanney (Evan) of Baldwyn, Amy Sears (Joe), Christie Pittman (Sean) and Jenny Barclay (Adam), all of Dallas, Texas; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James E. Cobb; and a granddaughter, Melanie Sellars.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Tucker, Ashley Campbell, Evan Nanney, Pat O'Callaghan, Kirk Sellars and Carey Dye.
Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
