Ronald E. Eames, 31, died in an auto-truck accident Thursday, February 10, 1983, south of Soda Springs.

He was born July 22, 1951, at Preston, to George and Vilate Elwood Eames.

He married Wendy Mae Lewis, January 25, 1975, at Elko, Nevada.

He was a member of the LDS Church.

He worked on a section crew for the Union Pacific Railroad. He had served in the U.S. Army for four years, part of which was spent in Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Ronald Brian; and a daughter, Candace Marie, all of Montpelier; his parents, Preston; a brother, Bruce, Tucson, Arizona; two sisters, Caroline Floyd, Preston, and Mrs. Bryan (Linda) Morris, Park Valley, Utah; his two grandmothers, Flora Edna Geddes Eames and Elvira Vilate Stephenson Elwood. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and David Brian.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, (February 15), in the Montpelier LDS Second Ward chapel. Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
