SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Joseph R. Dunn, 86, of Scottsdale, Ariz., a former postmaster in Brainerd, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1992, at Shadow Mountain Health Care Center in Scottsdale, Ariz.
He was born March 27, 1905, in Brainerd to Henry P. and Sadie (Reilly) Dunn. He grew up in Brainerd and graduated from Notre Dame University. He owned Dunn's Drug Store, located at 604 Front Street, which had been founded by his father in 1897. He was a postmaster of the Brainerd Regional Post Office for 25 years. He moved to Arizona about 20 years ago. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Scottsdale, Ariz.
His wife, Betty, died earlier.
A memorial mass will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd with Father Antus officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd. Also a memorial mass was conducted earlier at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Scottsdale, Ariz.
