She was the wife of the late Ralph T. Ashworth, the former owner of Ashworth's Restaurant in Padanaram.
Born in Lancashire, England, the daughter of the late David T. and Maude (Ashworth) Mackie, she lived in New Bedford and Mattapoisett before moving to South Dartmouth.
Mrs. Ashworth was formerly employed as a buyer of infants and girls wear at Star Store in New Bedford for twenty-five years until her retirement.
Survivors include a niece, Margaret J. Button of Altamont, NY; a nephew, William David Stratton of Hanover, NH; and several great nieces and nephews including Kirk Whiting of New Bedford, Scott Whiting of South Dartmouth and Dale Whiting of Mattapoisett.
She was the sister of the late Jean Mackie Stratton.
A private graveside service will be held in Acushnet Cemetery.
