Betty Lou (Meade) Kile, of Winona, Missouri, was born on June 22, 1940, in Shannon County (Big Creek), Missouri, to William Silas and Lilly Jewel (Wilson) Meade. She departed this life on June 25, 2021, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 81 years.
She was united in marriage to Charles Dale Kile on March 23, 1963, in Centerville, MO. To this happy union two wonderful children were born, Kerry Dale and Kelly Dawn.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kile in 2004; her parents, William and Lilly Meade; two brothers, Gerald and Frank Meade; and one sister, Ruthene Chapman.
Survivors include one son, Kerry Kile and wife, Tammy, of Winona; one daughter, Kelly Counts and husband, Rodney, of Winona; one brother, Gene Meade of Winona; one sister, Linda Land and husband, Scott of Salem, MO; four grandchildren, Kattie Scott and husband, Kenny, Nathan Kile and wife, Brittany, Madison Counts, and Kiley Counts; two great-grandchildren, Bentley Scott and Kashton Kile; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty loved to sew and to cook. She enjoyed making her famous pickles and chicken and dumplings.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021, at Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri with Pastor Steve Voyles officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-3:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Winona, Missouri.
