After a short illness, William D. Fischer, died at his home, 1130 East Fort avenue, last Saturday. Mr. Fischer who was a master mechanic, was employed at the Gathman Ammunition Company plant, Texas, Md., and the success of the plant is said to have been due largely to his efforts.
He is survived by a widow, his parents, Harry C. and Ida J. Fischer; two children, Josephine and Ernest; three brothers and one sister. One of his brothers, Walter Fischer, is on duty with an aero squadron in England.
The funeral will be held at his home at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
