James P. and his wife Margaret Chloe (married in 1887) moved his family from Bowie TX in Montague Co to Tillman Co in Nov 1907. Along with 9 children, they purchased and settled on a quarter section of land located 6 and a half miles south of the west line of Frederick Ok. James and his family lived here until the death of he and his wife Margaret Chloe Green....Born to this union were: Minnie Russell Emenhiser, William Luther, Bertha Elizabeth Porter, Olmer, Ollie(died as an infant, Olmers twin sister), Edna Estes Bryant, Lola Mae Thomas, James "Gaston", Dewey Brown, and Joe Alvin.
