Donald served in the US Navy during WWII as a cook aboard the LST 325. He loved his country and was very patriotic. He had a supply of flags and would give them to anyone who needed one, especially his neighbors. He owned and operated D.J.'s Concrete Company for many years. A job he thoroughly loved. On May 12, 1979 he married Mary Edna. He cherished and adored her and delighted in telling people that he married his teacher. Mr. Hoffman was very generous, always giving to others and he loved to share stories.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary Edna.
He is survived by a nices, Shirley Shreve and her husband Bill, of Arnold, Missouri, and many, many dear friends.
