OVID V. SHAW, 71, of 522 Market Street, husband of the late Lavina Weaver Shaw, died yesterday after a long illness. A resident of this city for 30 years, he was a retired guard for the United States Weather Bureau at Washington.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Lavina V. Shaw and Mrs Delilah Veshears; a son, Victor Smith of Hodsville, Md.; a brother Justin of Washington, and a grandson Robert Applegate of Trenton.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Hartmann Funeral Home 539 Centre Street. The Rev. William M Boaz of Westminster Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
