Eli W. "Dub" Barker, 72, died Monday, Dec. 29, 1997, at his home in Marion.

Survivors include his wife, Fannie Alice Martin Barker, Marion; two daughters, Anne Greer, Apopka, FL, and Fran Horne, Wytheville; five sisters, Stella Craft, Jean Gillespie, Nellie Smith and Goldie Carpenter, all of Marion, and Allene Roop, Bristol; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held in Barnett's Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William Slater and the Rev. Charles E. Blevins officiating. Interment followed in Troutdale Cemetery.
