--He was a son of Joseph Calvin Hucks and wife Margaret Ramsey.
--World War I Veteran; PFC, U.S. Army. He entered the army in September 1917 and was honorably discharged in July 1919.
--Occupation: Laborer at a cola company in 1920, Truck Driver for City Sanitation Dept. in 1930 and 1940. He was working as a Guard at the time of his death.
--Frank married Daisy Gilbert in 1920. They had 7 children (names in wife's memorial).
--He died of a cerebral thrombosis at the V.A. hospital near Asheville.
