Eugene Edward "Alex" Alexander's parents Edward L. Alexander (1866-1907) and Cora Eugenia (Hitchcock) Alexander (1869-1892) married on 10 Nov 1887 in Madison County, Georgia. His mother Cora died 05 Nov 1892 so she probably died of complications right after his birth.

His father Edward L. Alexander then 2nd married Nola Florence Matthews (1877-1954) in 1896. She raised "Alex" and his brother Cornelius Charles Alexander (1889-1931) along with the 3 children she had with their father Edward L. Alexander.
