'Ollie' Vandehey, 94, his true love was fishing

Aloysius "Ollie" Vandehey, 94, died February 20, 2004 in Oroville, Calif.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 6, given by Fr. Scott Vandehey at St. Francis of Assisi Roy Cemetery.

Mr. Vandehey was born August 1, 1909 in Forest Grove. Besides his wife, Mayme, his other true love was fishing. He was the youngest and last sibling alive of eleven children.

He is survived by his daughter, Charolette Rawlings and granddaughter, Tawnya Stenroos, both of Oroville; fishing buddy and great nephew, Kevin Perrin of Hillsboro; his niece and god-daughter, V. Mathews of Milwaukie, and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Ann D'Hondt Vandehey (Mayme) and grandson Davin Stenroos.
