Jane was born in Hopewell Twp., old Hunterdon (now Mercer) Co., NJ. She married Charles B. Reed on 14 Feb. 1829 in old Hunterdon Co. Her gravestone gives her death date as 18 Feb. 1864, but other sources give 4 or 20 Feb. Her gravestone also gives her age as 65 years & 24 days. This would put her birth in Jan. 1799, which conflicts with the family Bible record as transcribed (see image). Her death record indicates that she died of measles.
