Thomas Jefferson Arnold residing four miles northwest of Bunch died at St. Joseph Hospital Ottumwa Tuesday April 23. Funeral services were conducted at the church in Monterey Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. Buried in Johnson cemetery.
Thomas Jefferson Arnold was born near Monterey in Davis County Iowa July 27, 1878, died April 23, 1929 age 50 years, 8 months and 27 days. He was the son of William Thomas Arnold and Margaret E. Arnold. He married Jennie Johnson March 9, 1904. To this union 11 children were born, eight of whom, with their mother survive him. They are Mrs. Irene Jarvis of Bunch, Elmer of Unionville, Lulu Wilfawn of Bunch, Pauline, Warren, Bert, Marguerete & Carrie at home. He is also survived by two brothers, James and John near Mark. One brother Samuel and one sister Mrs. Annie Stogdill preceded him in death. He is survived by two grandchildren, Oris and Buelah Jarvis.
The funeral services were conducted April 25 by Rev. Arthur Stokesberry. Interment was made at the Johnson Cemetery near Montery.
