BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Funeral for Melvin J. O'Grady, 62, Benton Township, Mich., will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Christian Funeral Home, Cheboygan, Mich. Mr. O'Grady died Sunday at his home. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. He was born July 3, 1937, in Cheboygan to John and Erma Enos O'Grady. He married Viva J. Hughes on Oct. 24, 1958, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was in the Army for 22 years as an electronics specialist. After retirement as a master sergeant he was employed by Litton Data Systems as an electronics specialist. He was later employed by civil service.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters: Theresa Ann Smith, Knoxville, Ga.; Sheryl Lynn O'Grady, Wichita Falls; two sons: Gary Francis O'Grady, Spencer, Iowa; and Lawrence O'Grady, Phoenix; his mother, Erma O'Grady, Cheboygan; three brothers: Gerald O'Grady and Darrell O'Grady, both of Cheboygan; and Allen O'Grady, Rochester, Mich.; a sister, Deanna Whitaker, Cheboygan; and nine grandchildren.
