Jay Kline, who had been a supervisor at Universal Electric Company, when he retired, died Monday evening at Owosso Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Kline, 86, who resided at 1025 South Washington Street, had been ill for two months. He had also been employed as a tool and die maker at several places.
The funeral will be held at Jennings-Lyons Chapel Thursday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. John W. Simpson officiating. Burial is to be in Oak Hill Cemetery. The body rests at the funeral chapel.
Mr. Kline, the son of John and Louisa (Ruess) Kline, was born in Owosso October 4, 1892 and had resided in this community all of his life. He attended the Owosso schools.
He and Marguerite Nelson were married May 26, 1917.
Mr. Kline was a member of the Corunna United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Albert (Phyllis) Thomas of Swartz Creek; one sister, Mrs. Warner (Bessie) Hagan of Vernon, and one grand-daughter.
