Daughter of Thomas Gillson (1870-1942) & Lorena Hulda Kraft (1876-1957)
Married Alfred George Gillson (1891-1926) on 6 Dec 1919 in Mankato, MN. They moved to California shortly after and became citrus farmers with many of the Kraft family Aunts and Uncles who had come west. Alfred passed due to a broken leg received in a fall from a wagon, a blood clot developed causing his death. At the time of his death they had a 3 year old son, Clarence.
Esther married Eugene Lewis Adkins (1893-1980) in 7 July 1928 in Bloomington, San Bernardino Co, California. Together they had one son Marvin Eugene Gillson.

long-time resident, passed away Aug. 29, at the age of 81. She was born June 17, 1896, at Mankato, Minn. She is survived by a son, Marvin E. Gillson of Hawthorne; brother, Russell Gillson of Salem, Oregon; sister, Helen Cornwell of Hemet; grandsons, Michael and Donald Gillson and grandaughter, Melanie Gillson of Hawthorne. Services were Sept. 3, at White's Funeral Home, Azusa, with Reverend B.J. Paroulek of The First Presbyterian Church of Azusa, officiating. Interment was at Oakdale Memorial Park, Glendora.
