Brilliant Wedding at Athens.
[Special to the News.]
ATHENS, April 16.--At the residence of the bride's father, Colonel L. F. Murchison, occurred one of the most brilliant weddings in the annals of this city. The contracting parties were Mr. A. B. Watkins, a talented young member of Athens bar, and Miss Laura Murchison, long the reigning belle of this community, highly accomplished and the favorite of all. Rev. J. M. Brooks, of the Presbyterian church of this city, officiated. The occasion was one of great splendor and happiness. The presents were numerous, costly and beautiful. The handsome bride wore a dress of white silk mull, with Oriental lace flounces. The bridegroom was attired in customary full dress.
