He was born Sept. 12, 1911, in Selbytown, the son of Augusta and Eugenia Pedrucci Petrelli. He married Aida E. Bucci in 1938; she preceded him in death in 1996.
Mr. Petrelli lived in Savoy for four years, Champaign for six years and Springfield for most of his life. He was a coal miner and also owned and operated The Black Angus steakhouse in Springfield from 1953-83.
Survivors: a daughter, Dena (husband, James E.) Vermette of Champaign; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Mass: Christ the King Church, the Rev. Donald Meehling officiating. Burial: Calvary Cemetery.
