Funeral Services for J.C. Wilmoth, 68, of Cookeville will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Brothers Bruce Argo, Dow Allen and Ronnie Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilmoth Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8pm on Monday and again on Tuesday from 10am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Wilmoth passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on October 11, 1944 in Putnam County to the late Jubie Collins and Eva Overton Wilmoth.
Mr. Wilmoth worked at the Gil inc. for a number of years.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Wilmoth; 2 daughters, Loretta Moore and Jade Erin Gentry of Cookeville; a son, Ronnie Earl Wilmoth; step-son, Shawn Baker; brother, Amos Dalton Wilmoth, of Spring City, TN; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 7 brothers, Elmer Harness, Boyd Harness, Dennis Wilmoth, Buddy Wilmoth, Jewel Wilmoth, Brison Wilmoth and Cordell Wilmoth; 6 sisters, Anna Mae Gullette, Earie Kennedy, Roxie Tucker, Ruby Shoemake, Helen Harness and Maxine Harness.
Pallbearers will be Zack Cummings, Dusty Carter, Rick Burgess, Johnie Raney, Dewayne Harness, Tisha Carter, Clay Jernigan and Rick Allen.
