Inez Toomerr Pearson, 87, passed away at the Bear Lake Skilled Nursing Facility on Dec. 3, 2009. She was born January 16, 1922 in Liberty, to John Thomas Toomer and Ida Derricott Toomer. She was the fourth out of five children. She had two sisters, Juanita and Lydia and two brothers James and John.
When Inez was two they moved to Pegram. When she was 14 years old, they moved to Cokeville, where she graduated from high school. She met Ervin John Pearson while he worked for her father on the ranch. They fell in love and were married on Sept. 19, 1941 in Paris. They were later sealed together in the LDS Logan Utah Temple.
Inez is survived by three children, DeWayne (Jamie) Pearson of Cokeville, Ida Marie (Alan) Beck of Cokeville and Annette (Clark) Thompson of Rogers, Minnesota. They have fie grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and eight step-great-grandchildren. Her beloved husband died in May of 2000. Inez has held many church jobs for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was still a strong member. Inez lived in the Bear Lake Memorial Nursing Home for the past five years.
Inez is now reunited with her husband, mother and father, her brothers and sisters, and her Father in Heaven.
Funeral services were held Dec. 12, at the Cokeville LDS chapel. Burial was at the Cokeville Cemetery.
