70, of Georgetown, KY, husband of Jana Sue Gaither Anderson, died Thursday, July 25, 2013. Born in Woodford Co., KY, on Aug 20th, 1942, to the late William Walter and Mattie Ann Anderson. Mr. Anderson was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. He was a retired businessman of 31 years. He also was employed by IBM and served as an Auxiliary Police Officer for the Fayette Co. Police Dept. in the early 1970's. Family members include his two sons, Michael Ray (Sondra) Anderson and Alan Edwin (Rebecca) Anderson; four grandchildren, James William "Will" Anderson, Re-beka Haley Anderson, Ashley Nicole Anderson and Christopher Mekhi Brown; three brothers, the late Glen Roger (Pat) Anderson, the late Donald Ben (late wife, Imelda) Anderson, Barry Wayne (Jeanette) Anderson; four sisters, Roberta Jean (the late Joe) Sweeney, Wanda Victorene (the late Edwin) Newell, Doris Faye (Joe) Weber, Peggy Diane (Scott) Williams and a large, loving and understanding extended family who will miss his unique ability to communicate. The Anderson Invitational Golf Tournament (Est. 1962) was one of Briscoe's most enjoyable annual occasions. He was the last surviving member of the original "five-some". His antics and commentary on the course will be missed. We will celebrate his life at 11:30am Monday at Milward-South-land where visitation will be from 2-6pm Sunday. Burial will be at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
