Wallace was brother to William and Cornelius. They owned the mill on the Lyd Brook where they made barrels and butter tubes.

Wallace was killed in an accident at this mill.

Although his stone says 'Wallis', most records refer to him as 'Wallace', including his daughter who named her son Wallace Leroy Trask after him, and brothers who also named sons 'Wallace' in his honor.
