Bartlett, Louis Edward Louis Edward Bartlett, 88, passed away July 5, 2004, at Monteray Park Nursing Center. Services will be 9 a.m. Thursday, July 8 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel. Friends may call Wednesday, July 7 from 6-8 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Louis was born May 19, 1916, in Bogard, MO. He was a self employed contractor, and was a founding member of Southwood United Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by brother Bill Bartlett, sister Louise Cullen, and grandson Shannon Lee Hall. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Benson, Kansas City, MO, Diana and husband Randy Hall, Blue Springs, MO; son Terry Bartlett, Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Albert and wife Audrey Bartlett, Claremont, CA, Earl and wife Lavada Bartlett, Houston, TX; sisters Sue Stone and companion Joyce Herndon, Kansas City, MO, Jane and husband John Martens, Higginsville, MO; sister-in-law Blanche Bartlett, Warrensburg, MO; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
