CHRISTOPHER (MAGNA) VAIRA
Christopher (Magna) Vaira, 73, of 307 East Railroad Street, this city, died yesterday afternoon at 3:10 o'clock in Monongahela Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for a week. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage.

He was born March 13, 1882 at Ono San Pietro, Breseia, Italy, coming to Monongahela in 1903 and living here since that time. A retired coal-miner, Mr. Vaira was a member of St Anthony's R.C. Church: and of the Italian Citizens of America Club.

Surviving are his wife, Louise Bocca Vaira: two sons, Ernest Castagna of Country Club Road, and Earl at home: one daughter Louise (Mrs. Patrick Rice Jr.) of this city, two grandchildren: one brother, Frank Vaira of East Main Street.

Friends received from this evening at the D'Altorio Funeral Home, 509 West Main Street, until Tuesday morning when there will be a blessing service at nine o'clock. The remains will then be removed to St. Anthony's Church for requiem high mass at 9:30 o'clock to be celebrated by his pastor the Reverend Joseph L Abbate. Interment will follow in Manongahela Cemetery.
