GARNET FURNISH
Garnet G. Furnish, 80, died Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. in Betz Nursing Home, Auburn.
A homemaker, she formerly lived in Wesley Park Apartments in Auburn. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Spencerville, and the Order of Eastern Star lodge in Spencerville.
Mrs. Furnish was born Oct. 29, 1911, in Noble County to the late William P. and Edna G. (Brown) Hudson.
She married Delbert Roscoe Furnish on Nov. 24, 1929, in Spencerville, and he died Oct. 30, 1977.
Surviving are two sons, James of Ball Lake and Jerry of Grabill; three daughters, Bonnie Raeke of Grabill, Nancy Fogle of Spencerville and Judith Ann Howard of Union City, Ohio; one brother, Harold Hudson of Spencerville; 23 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, William, one daughter, Bettie, and two brothers.
Friends may call Friday from 2-9 p.m. in Feller Funeral Home, Waterloo. The Spencerville chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service Friday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Auburn.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or to the Leukemia Foundation.
