Marion William Jones, age 81, born in Georgiana, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Friday, July 19, 2013 at North Baldwin Infirmary. He was a policeman (retired) for the City of Mobile. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by two sons, Tommy L. Jones of Milton, FL and Gerry D. Lee of Lakeland, FL; two daughters, Teresa Dykes of Milton, FL and Wanda Schreiner of Mobile, AL; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend David Dykes officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery.
A visitation for Mr. Jones was held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Tom Jones, Joseph Dykes, Zach Dykes, Ollie B. Dykes, David Dykes and Frank Beasley. Honorary pallbearers were Buddy Schreiner and Howard Wilson.
