Irma Helen Hancock Bird was the 3rd child born to Elmer Graham Hancock and Lottie Paar Hancock of Jersey City, New Jersey. She was predeceased by her older brother Windsor Hancock and older sister Ethel Ruth Hancock Rapp, and subsequently deceased by her younger brother, Clifford S. Hancock, deceased October 2004. She predeceased her husband of 44 years, James Forshay Bird of Bayonne, New Jersey. Irma and James had 2 children, Robert James Bird (deceased at age 18 on January 13, 1965) and Thomas Warren Bird, currently of Seaford, Delaware, USA. She is also survived by 2 granddaughters, Pamela Katherine (Bird) Shockley of Frederica, Delaware and Sandra Helen (Bird) Gray of Salisbury, Maryland, great grandson Brayden Michael Shockley and great granddaughter, Alyssa Pamela Shockley of Frederica, Delaware, and a great grandson, Carson Elliott Gray of Salisbury, Maryland, USA.
