"Ernest M. Hackler, 60, of Ridgefarm, died at 2:50 a.m. today (March 12, 1968) at Lake View Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient there since noon and in ill health five months.
Mr. Hackler had been Elwood Township road commissioner the past 24 years, had been associated with township work 30 years and was a life resident of the Ridgefarm community.
He was born July 19, 1907, the son of Calvin T. and Flora C. Southerland Hackler. He attended the Christian Church and was a member of the Illinois..........(remainder missing)."
