BEN WROBLEWSKI
Ben Wroblewski, 92, of Monticello died early Tuesday, November 25, 1986, at the Senior Home in Monticello following a long illness.
Bernard Wroblewski was born Nov. 26, 1893, in Jones County; the son of Franz and Margaret Otten Wroblewski. He received his education in Jones County schools and married Anna M. Siebels Nov. 1, 1922.
The couple farmed for many years in the Central City area. They retired from farming in 1960. Mrs. Wroblewski died in 1961. For the past several years, he has made his home at the Senior Home in Monticello.
Mr. Wroblewski was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Anamosa and the American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I.
Mr. Wroblewski is survived by a sister, Margaret Nerad of Iowa City, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and two sisters.
Services for Mr. Wroblewski were held at 10:30 a.m., Nov. 28, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Anamosa, with the Rev. Walter Malkewitz officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery, rural Anamosa, with Military Honors.
Casket bearers were Donald Schlimmer, Vincent Wroblewski, Paul Lange and Don Stickle.
