Brummit/Brummett Bryant Jr. "Junior" (aka "Little Brummit") was born Dec. 30, 1844. His parents were Brummit Bryant Sr. and Elizabeth "Betsy" Erwin (maiden name Hicks).

(Betsy had been married previously to Thomas Erwin/Irwin. Her name was listed on Junior's death certificate as "Evans" instead of "Erwin," apparently erroneously.)

Junior married Amanda "Mandy" Denton, Sept. 21, 1870. Mandy's parents were Abraham Denton and Nancy Allen. They had a son, Arthur. Mandy died July 30, 1871, at age 28, 10 months after their marriage.

Junior's second marriage, Oct. 13, 1887, was to Nancy Wood, daughter of Gipson Wood and Mary "Polly" Sisk. Nancy died in 1900.

Junior spent the last 29 years of his life as a widower.

He served a postmaster for the local English Creek Post Office.
