She was born June 28, 1941 in Morgan County, WV daughter of the late Lawrence and Lucille Cain Clark.
Shirley was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She was a 1959 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School, a 1963 graduate of Shepherd College and received her Master's Degree in Education from Shippensburg University. She retired from Morgan County Schools as a school teacher. She was a member of the Morgan County C.E.O.S. the Knit-Wits, American Legion Post #60 Auxiliary and the Morgan County retired teachers Association.
Shirley is survived by one daughter, Ann Elizabeth Davis and husband, John of Ellicott City, MD, one brother, Larry W. Clark, Berkeley Springs, two granddaughters, Emma Kate Davis and Elisabeth Grace "Lizzy" Davis and former husband and friend, Gary D. Miller and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Anthony E. Miller in 2002, two sisters, Phyllis Dodson and Mija Lou Clark.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Monday, July 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Liberty and S. Washington Streets, Berkeley Springs. Burial will follow at Greenway Cemetery.
Friends will be received Sunday, July 28 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV. Rosary service will be recited at 8 P.M.
