EAGAN - Ruth E. Bodle-Odegaard, age 70, of Eagan, Minn., died on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at Eagan, Minn.
She was born on Sept. 2, 1937, the daughter of William H. and Mildred R. Bodle. She graduated from the Aitkin High School and then attended the University of Minnesota. She married Myron Odegaard on May 22, 1959, and the couple moved to New York City in 1960. A son, Brandon Odegaard, was born April 20, 1962.
Ruth is survived by Myron and Brandon Odegaard; her brothers, Howard and Bradley Bodle; sisters, Julie Cartie and Barbara Ruiz.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2008, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin. Friends and relatives are invited to join her family members for a loving glimpse of Ruth's life and a sample of her poetry. After the service the attendees are invited to have a light lunch at the 40 Club from noon to 1:30 p.m.
