Anna Dykstra, 91, of Hull went home to her Lord Friday, July 16, 2004, at Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Oolman Funeral Home in Hull, with the Rev. Carl Klompien officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday, with the family present 2 to 4 p.m., at the funeral home.

Anna was born Sept. 19, 1912, near Lebanon, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mary (deVries) Ten Harmsel. Her family moved to Hull, where she attended Christian Grammar School.

She married Richard W. Dykstra on her birthday in 1934, in Hull. They made their home in Hull, where she was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and fancy work, especially quilting and crocheting. She also loved music and played her organ often. The couple like to travel and did a lot of camping and fishing.

In 1995, they moved to the Homestead in Hull, becoming its first inhabitants. They transferred to Pleasant Acres on June 1, 2001, where Rich passed away after only 19 days. She continued to live at Pleasant Acres, where she played the organ and piano duets as long as she was able. There she became known as the "Puzzle Lady", because many people saw her in "her" corner fixing jigsaw puzzles.

She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Hull for most of her life.

She is survived by a son and his wife, Wesley and Diana (Obbink) Dykstra of Hull; two granddaughters and their husbands, Patricia and Curt Rozeboom of Indianapolis, Ind., and Jennifer and Tony Boesch of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two great-granddaughters, Anika Rozeboom and Alexis Boesch; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jennie (Pete) Soodsma; a sister-in-law, Della (Fred) Krommendyk; and a brother-in-law, Edward (Trina) Dykstra.

Memorials may be directed to hospice.
