Evelyn I. (Yansky) Kral, 85, of Iowa City, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013.
Graveside services will be held 10:30, Friday, July 26th at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Memorial contributions can be directed to the Evelyn Kral Memorial Fund.
Evelyn Yansky was born August 25, 1927; the daughter of Frank and Marie (Vodicka) Yansky. She graduated from Iowa City City High and worked for 35 years for Bell Telephone in Iowa City. She married Dana Kral on January 22, 1949, in Nashua, Iowa; Dana passed away in April of 1987.
Evelyn enjoyed time working in the yard, traveling, taking photographs and supporting the Hawkeyes. She was known to many for her home-made candy, which she would box and gift every Christmas.
Evelyn's family includes her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Perle and George and sister, Helen.
Even in death, Evelyn was able to help others as a donor through the Iowa Lions Eye Bank.
