OBITUARY OF JESSIE STENDER HAWK

Funeral Services for Jessie Hedgpeth STENDER HAWK were scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. HAWK, aged 75 and a lifetime resident of this area, died Monday at Ochiltree General Hospital.

Services were scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the First Christian Church. Rev. Tracy Wilson, pastor, and Rev. Alan Tinsley, pastor of the Key Heights Baptist Church, were to officiate. Burial would be in Heart Cemetery, under the direction of Boxwell Brothers.

She was born on January 01, 1910 in Beaver county, the daughter of John and Martha Hardin MATHIS. She was formerly employed by First National Bank, where she was a teller for many years. She was a member of Key Heights Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Harold; three sons, Don HEDGPETH of Perryton, Gene HEDGPETH of Central Point, Oregon, and Max VERHELST of Forgan, Oklahoma; three step-daughters, Sandy HUMPHREYS of Perryton, Roma FULLER of Abilene, and Barbara KASTNER of Lincoln, Nebraska; and a grandson, Jay Don HEDGPETH of Perryton.

The family has suggested that memorials be made to the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center or the American Cancer Society.
