Sidney, moved to Clay Co., Arkansas in 1910 along with two of his brothers Eugene and Elliott Miller. The Millers were hoping to find their fortune in farming. They continued to work hard and remain poor. Sidney eventually moved near Qulin, Mo. He was a hard drinking man and mean to get along with.

Edna "Miller" Decker is one of the main sources of information on Sid's family. She is the last surviving child of Sid Miller. She was the only girl.
