EMILY — Elizabeth Jean "Betty" Lund, age 69, of Emily, died on July 22, 2013, at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on Feb. 4, 1944, in Outing to Joseph and Veronica (Kertzman) Katzenberger. She married Roger "Buddy" Lund on Sept. 16, 1961. Betty was a retired 3M employee with 25 years of service.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Roger "Buddy;" two sons, Kenneth Lund, of Roy, Wash., and Keith Lund, of Corbett, Ore.; one daughter, Brenda Jerue, of St. Paul; four brothers, Louie (Pat) Katzenberger, of Soldotna, Alaska, William Katzenberger, of Phoenix, Ariz., Mike (LaVonne) Katzenberger, of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Frank (Kathi) Katzenberger, of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; two sisters, Leona Bjerkness, of Hastings, and Joanne Girard, of St. Louis Park; three grandchildren, Bobby, Beau and Blake Jerue.
Preceding her in death are her parents; two brothers, Martin and Kenny Katzenberger; and one granddaughter, Brianna Jerue.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at St. Emily's Catholic Church in Emily. Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily. Friends may call on Friday at the Koop Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and also one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
