She was born on April 8, 1894 in Everton, the daughter of. George E. and Myrtle Smith Bristol. She came to Tupper Lake with her family in 1896. She graduated from the Tupper Lake High School in 1912 and from Oswego Normal School in 1914.
She married Arthur L. Adams on July 26, 1922 at Grace Methodist Church. He died in 1951.
Surviving were two sisters. Miss Velma Bristol, Tupper Lake and Mrs. Lilas Cox, Potsdam and a nephew, Ralph E. Bristol, Saranac Lake.
