Mildred Daniel (Mickey) Gleaton, 86 of Covington, passed away on February 3, 2004. Memorial services will be held on Friday morning, February 6, at 10:00 a.m. at the Covington First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the cemetery of the Warwick United Methodist Church, in Warwick, Georgia. Mrs. Gleaton was the wife of the late Hugh E. Gleaton. Mrs. Gleaton was born and raised in Hawkinsville, and was a 1938 graduate of the University of Georgia. She lived the greatest portions of her adult life in Warwick, Americus, and Covington. She was a wonderful wife and mother, respected schoolteacher, and talented gardener and musician. She is survived by her children, Madge and Dr. Hugh E. Gleaton Jr., of Hendersonville, North Carolina; Kay and Frank B. Turner, Sr. of Covington; Dee and Ray E. Tyner, Jr., of Peachtree City, and Susanne and Frederick N. Gleaton of Atlanta. Mrs. Gleaton leaves eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, Shelley and Paul Bourdon of Lexington, Virginia, and their children, Abbey and Austin Bourdon, Slade and Lori Gleaton of Charleston, South Carolina; and their children Elayna, Jacob, and Jonathan Gleaton, Whitney and Jeff Jackson of Greenville, Tennessee and their children Tommy and Nicolette Jackson, Mark and Elaine Gleaton of Frederick, Maryland; Frank Jr. and Loy Turner of Covington; and their children, Ivy and Julia Turner, Dr. Daniel Turner of Spokane, Washington; Ray Tyner III of Salt Lake City, Utah; Hugh Tyner of Denver, Colorado; Sarah Gleaton of Atlanta; Amelia Gleaton of Atlanta; and Sam Gleaton of Atlanta. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Covington First United Methodist Church, the Warwick United Methodist, or the donor's favorite charity.
