While visiting his sister Josephine in Hartford City, Indiana. A car hit and killed Albert Grant Dawson, as he walked along a rural road towards church. He was taken to the hospital and family from Ohio and Michigan came to visit him. He died at 3:30 a.m. the morning of the 21st (Lawrence C. Dawson, age 17, diary entry) His son, Lawrence Dawson was with him, and helped bring back the body to Lawton, MI.
