Eliza is remembered in her Daughter Jane Elizabeth Manning James 1812-1908 history.
There is no indication that Eliza arrived in the Utah Territory, but she did walk with Jane and her children to Nauvoo from Connecticut, to join the LDS Saints gathered there.
................
Jane's father died when she was about the age of six. If she was born in 1812 his death would be about 1818.
Aboout 1834 Phillis married Cato Treadwell
"A relic of the Revolutionary War who had scarecrow bones and hair like cotton."
"Phillis Manning Treadwell had been a slave until her twentyfifthe year; owned by the rich Abbotts, given to the oldest Abbott Daughter as a wedding gift and later sold to a Stamford man before Freedom was given, bit by bit, to all Connecticut Blacks"
Darius Gray's great work on this history.

.....................................
Children of Isaac and Eliza Manning.
KNOWN Daughter:
1-F:
Jane Manning James

KNOWN Son.
2-M:
Isaac Lewis Manning

3-M: Peter Manning
MD: Poss. Lucinda Manning
4-F: Sarah Manning Stebbings
MD: Anthony Stebbings
5-F: Angeline Manning

The order of birth I am not certain of.
These famiy members 'besides Cato' are the people Jane walked from Connecticut to join the LDS Saints in Nauvoo. Lucinda Manning is listed as a Sister in Law. I do not think Isaac was married at that time but Lucinda Manning could possibly be his wife rather then Peter's.
......................

Collected: Mead is from Jane's Death Certificate. other is from Jane's story that she gave of her life.
The 1900 Census says she or her brother Isaac Lewis Manning who lived with her and cleaned carpets, could not read or Write.
