Carlton Ray Adkins, 38, a native of Hancock County, was killed at 3:05 p.m. December 30, when his car collided with a 1 1/2 ton truck on Old South Park Road east of Louisville.
Adkins lived at 11202 Holsclaw Hill Road, near Fair dale, and was employed by the Ford Motor Company and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; three daughters, Misses Cheryl, Peggy and Susan Adkins; one son, Douglas Adkins; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Adkins of Louisville, but former residents of Hancock County.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday January 2, from the Dunn Fairdale Funeral Home, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
